Video options: caption style and background music volume
Before you create a video you can pick a caption style (or turn subtitles off entirely) and set how loud the background music is. These choices cost no extra credits.

Open “Video options”
On the Create screen, under the input box there is a row of chips (Template, Voice, Music, Font, Captions…). Tap a chip to open the “Video options” window with these tabs: Length, Video template, Voice, Music, Font and Caption style. Your choices apply to the video you are about to create.
Pick a caption style or turn subtitles off
- In the chip row, tap the “Captions” chip. The window opens straight on the “Caption style” tab.
- Pick a style: Auto (AI picks), Color Pop, Boxed, Minimal or Bold Outline. Each card shows sample text so you can preview it.
- Or pick “No subtitles” so the video has no subtitles.
- Tap Done. The chip shows what you picked; tap Create video as usual.

Note: Captions follow the voiceover (colour, box, outline) and cost no extra credits.
When to choose “No subtitles”
Choose “No subtitles” if you want to add subtitles somewhere else, for example in CapCut or TikTok. The video still has the voiceover, the music and the on-screen text; it just has no subtitles running with the speech.
The choice stays when you edit the video with the chat box or make the 60-second version: the video still has no subtitles.
Set your default background music volume
- Open Setup, choose Music and find the “Background music volume” card.
- Tap ▶ to listen. The preview sounds like the real video: the music ducks under speech and rises in pauses.
- Drag the slider from Off, Quieter, Default to Louder. You can drag and listen at the same time.
- Releasing the slider saves automatically. Tap “Reset to default” to go back to the original level.

Note: The level you set in Setup applies to all your new videos.
Set the volume for one video only
- In the Review step, tap the “Music” box at the top.
- Drag the “Background music volume” slider (the card says “This video only”) and listen.
- Tap Done. The level applies only to the video you are reviewing and does not change your default.

FAQ
Does choosing No subtitles cost extra credits?
No. Caption styles, including “No subtitles”, cost no extra credits.
Does the volume preview sound like the real video?
The preview mimics how the music ducks under speech and rises in pauses, using a sample voice about ainius, so you can picture the music level before rendering.
Does changing the volume in the Review step change my default?
No. A level set in the Review step applies only to that video. To change it for every video, use Setup › Music.
